Don’t throw away your Lionfish catch!
Though Lionfish is venomous, you can create quite a delicious meal out of it.
The video below demonstrates the handling and processing of captured lionfish, as our fisherfolks are still very weary of any lionfish they catch. This video was supplied to CIASNET by The Bahamas Department of Marine Resources which has been doing extensive work with invasive Lionfish and other research. Since Lionfish is an invasive species, the more that can be removed from our Coral Reefs, the better.
