The Sea Around Us Project newsletter is published by the Fisheries Centre at the University of British Columbia. The project is a scientific collaboration between the University of British Columbia and the Pew Environment Group that began in July 1999. This issue features work conducted by the Project “Mitiating the Threasts of Invasive Alien Sepecies in the Insular Caribbean” in its Lionfish pilot project in the Bahamas. This article highlights the need for a collaboraive approach to tackling the issue of invaisve speies especially one like the invasive lionfish.
