UNEP published a news article on the project “Preventing COSTS of Invasive Alien Species in Barbados and the OECS Countries project” titled “Caribbean wrestles with mischievous invaders: monkeys

The article looked at the research being done on the impact of green monkeys on biodiversity, agriculture, tourism, and households in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Green Monkey is also a significant agricultural pest in Barbados. Thus, the sustainable management plan that will be developed in St. Kitts and Nevis will also be replicated in Barbados and other islands.
